Ciao Italy

The week as flown by and although the weather was not the great I still enjoyed seeing Rome. The highlight of the week was and still is St Peter’s Basilica, the church always takes my breath away. We visited the Trevi fountain again and as tradition requests that you throw over your shoulder a coin as a statement for returning to Rome. But after visiting Rome for the fourth time maybe its my last. Nevertheless I enjoyed walking and walking and walking the streets.. I leave you with some photos from my travels.

Toilet-Trained?

I was on route to Rome and had to change trains. I had a 45 minute wait, so i sat on a bench and just watched people going about their day.  I had not be there longer than 10 minutes when I witnessed a women taking a shit on the platform. She stood by a notice board, hitched up her skirt and just started to shit. I could not believe my eyes. She then pulled up her nickers, repositioned her skirt and sat right back down as if this was completely normal. About 20 minutes later, one of the cleaning staff come along with a bucket of saw dust which she tipped over said dump and then swept it up. This is while the culprit was chatting to her.

Thunder and rain

Woke up this morning to the sound of blat blat on my tent. That’s the sound if rain. So quickly took off my cloths from the line and went back inside and tent then the heavens opened up in full force. So what to do? Get on a train and go some where, that’s what you do when it’s raining. Rode back to La Spitzia and jumped on a train heading to Modena.

Why Modena? It’s the home of Ferrari and I hope to tour the factory today. Fingers crossed.
